

From I-40 you can take either exit 258 Gordonsville or exit 268 Buffalo Valley.

If you are coming from the west on I-40, exit at Gordonsville exit 258, turn left for several miles and look for highway 70N to Cookeville. It will be a right lane exit and you turn right heading east. Go for approximately 5 miles, upon going up a steep hill, you will enter a small town called Chestnut Mound, look for the post office on the right. Turn left at the post office onto Hwy 53, this turn has a country store across the street from the post office. Once on 53 travel about 3 miles, where you will see a marina on the left. Maple Grove campground is only .9 miles farther on the left, look for the sign on the left.
If you are coming from the east on I-40, approximately 20 miles past Cookeville, you will come to a steep downgrade hill, once at the bottom, the first exit is called Buffalo Valley exit 268. Exit and turn right. You will travel about 4 miles up a steep, turning road to the top, the road ends on Hwy. 70N. Also called Old Baxter Road or Cookeville Highway, turn left on 70N. You will travel about 3 miles till you enter Chestnut Mound. There you will be looking for a right turn only to Hwy 53, this right turn is right beside a small country store, and on the other side of the street a little farthur, is the post office for Chestnut Mound. If you past the post office, turn around. Once you turn onto 53, look for a marina on the left about 3 miles in. Maple Grove Campground is about .9 miles past the Marina on the Left.
